Formed in January 2011, IAG is the parent company of British Airways, Iberia and Vueling. It is a Spanish registered company with shares traded on the London Stock Exchange and Spanish Stock Exchanges. The corporate head office for IAG is in London, UK. IAG is the third largest airline group in Europe and, as of 2012, the sixth largest in the world based on revenue.

Open Skies is a wholly owned subsidiary of British Airways that operates flights between Paris and New York. The airline was set up in 2008 following the deregulation of the aviation market between Europe and the USA (hence the name Open Skies) and operates with 3 757s. Although only a narrow bodied aircraft, Open Skies is aimed entirely at the premium market with just 114 seats on-board.

One World Oneworld

British Airways was one of the founding members of One World, an alliance of many of the world’s leading airlines. The alliance has its headquarters in New York and was founded in 1999 by British Airways, American Airlines, Qantas & Cathay Pacific. Since then the alliance has continued to grow and today is one of the three major global airline alliances together with Star Alliance & Sky Team.

The Executive Club is British Airways frequent flyer membership club. There is no fee to join and members can collect Avios points whenever they book a flight or shop with the airlines numerous partners; these Avios points can then be spent on flights, hotels and more. Members also benefit from instant access to special offers and exclusive promotions. There are 4 tiered levels of membership, leading in at Blue and rising through Bronze and Silver to Gold.
